Finally getting back on burb. I have a better lift gate this one was to far gone, tailgate is in excellent condition, but decided to go with the barn doors.

You will like the barn doors. I have had both and I prefer them over the gate.

The only thing I don't care for on barn doors is the "post" in the middle gets in the way when you're looking out the rearview mirror. But I would be happy with either set up.

I solved that by getting rid of the mirror and never look back

I use the side mirrors a lot more than the inside mirror so not a big thing for me.
It can be a problem though.

I had 2 sets of barn doors. One day I pulled the gate and sat the barn doors in place and hated them. Sold both sets of the barn doors.
Btw my kids like the gate to sit on, me too.

Absolutely correct.

I wanted the doors very badly, so I ended up with two sets. I think my problem was I waited a little to long after driving it with the gate and once I switched the difference was way more than I wanted so I sold them cheap.

One went to a board member in Oregon who loves it and hated his gate.
