On my`72 K2500 Sierra,I`m going over a few things to give it a bit more bounce,kinda freshen it up.I haven`t done much since I went over it in`01 when I bought it.I went over the body with liquid clay bar and that stuff really cleans the paint up nice.Takes alot of marks and stains out.I waxed it with a McGuire`s cleaning wax,too.
First,Before the tailgate band...

Then,I started stripping the paint off the big old "Bartons" bumper...

Got some metallic silver on there.It`s ok,but I`m not sure I like it.I was trying for a rallye wheel color...

All I need are clips for the upper moulding.This is more how it looked originally.

Freshened up the wheels using Eagle1 wheel etch and a little scrubbing with "00" steel wool and a rinse...

The bumper was tweaked,so I replaced with a new one...

It`s had the bezels out since fall of`01 when I parked it with a bad motor.I didn`t want them to pit,so I took them out.I got used to the look of being dark around the headlights and wanted to powdercoat the bezels satin black...never did.When I bought the truck I detail-painted the grille.So,now I want to complete it.
Here`s the way it`s been for 6 years:

And,here`s the bezels masked and sprayed.Not exactly a big change that comes out and grabs ya:

Looking good and your efforts are really able to be noticed. It has always amazed me how a little "TLC" can really make a huge difference, and your truck is a perfect example of this. Keep up the effort as it is paying off bigggg time..

Not anymore.It turned out to be the keeper.

Great job on the clean up. The rear bumper paint made a great deal of betterment. I really like your porch. I started on one myself last fall. But then my wife decided she wanted to close it in. So we compermised (because that is what couples do

) I put in 12 windows. Getting a little brick work done on it now.
