Which interior color?

Does anybody know which interior color would have been most likely to have been used with this color combo? I picked this truck up with no interior whatsoever and want to make it nice inside again.

Re: Which interior color?

I would guess Tan or Burgundy/Brown. Do you have the SPID? I don't see the glove box in the picture.

Re: Which interior color?

My 83 is that color, but solid (not two tone) had saddle tan everything but the dash. The dash pad was dark brown.

Thanks

Needs to be cleaned up. Dad bought it new in 83. Only has 38K on it but the interior looks like crud and the paint is thin in spots, and it needs new trim down the sides.

Not sure if I want to keep it original paint and try touching up the few thin spots (one on the roof is the only bad one) or respray it.

I'm slowly but surely cleaning it up.

I'm torn on going all out on paint myself. I've had this truck for a lil while but I finally had a couple weeks to play with it and just pulled it in stripped it down, did all new suspension/4-6 drop kit, and swapped an ls1/4l60e combo in and now I'm just excited to drive it. Plus it's nice to have a nice truck that's not too nice, I like to not have to worry about a scratch or a ding

The instrument panel top pad is always dark(er) in an attempt to control reflections in the windshield.

Do you have your SPID label? It might be a nice reference for the original poster.

Re: Which interior color?

Edit - I may have screwed that up.

I chose the '83 info packet and highlighted the Custom Deluxe trim level, but that was based on Jeep's photo.

bh86 - what model year and trim level is your truck?

Re: Which interior color?

BH86's looks a little more yellow than mine, but could just be fading on mine.

I should have the spid. On the inside of glove box door right?

No spid. I believe it would be a high Sierra. It's an 82, it had no emblems left when I bought it they'd all been removed. It had everything but power windows and locks from what I could tell

Ok - here's the '82 chart which is a little different than the '83 chart, so "Buckskin" or "Carmine".

https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/doc...olet-Truck.pdf

Depending on how desperate you are, you can send your VIN and $50 to the GM Heritage Center and they can provide the actual invoice, complete with RPO content and pricing, for your specific truck.

My truck is also all tan interior except a dark brown dash pad. I was lucky that the dash pad is in nice shape. It seems like no one remakes the dark brown ones. So far I have only seen replacement dash pads in tan. Do you know if anyone makes them. The dark dash really sets off all the tan and the OP might like it too.

Looks like mine, except my High Sierra has base door panels because no PW or PL.

I just got a dark brown Coverlay cover for my dash. I didn't expect it to be all that great but given how I use my truck I couldn't really justify the cost of a new dash pad.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the Coverlay cover.

I have one on one of my old Jeeps and it was meh, but the one I just picked up for the truck actually looks really nice, and was just over $100 from JC Whitney including shipping.
