I did not get to meet you. It is so hard with so many people. I had a great time. Here are a few picts of the start of every morning and one of the cool retro gas station at the I80 truck stop. I will try and put them in order of the day one, two and three.

I'll be heading out tomorrow morning to meet up with the Power Tour at Indy and continue on to Bowling Green. First time at Power Tour! Love to meet some of the folks from here.

Here's what my Burb looks like:

Finnegan actually drove the muscle truck along the entire route, I saw him rolling in it a few times (in 2016).

Rudlege wood also had a crew last year that ran twin green 67/68 Camaros. We ran into him at a gas station and talked for 5 minutes or so. He said my car was "cool". I gushed like a school girl
yeah, Pilot Transport is a sponser and hauling the Roadkill and other Hot Rod magazine cars around. Rutledge Wood is driving the tour in a 70 Charger. Saw him today

There was some FB sightings yesterday at a gas station, it looks like a nice car too. You don't see too many white Chargers.

Re: 2017 HRPT in a 72 Super with my wife and sons

we had a good day. We did get into some wicked weather in Southern Illinois but it was so hot we welcomed the rain. After the sun came back out it was incredibly miserable At Gateway. Then it started raining again. We packed it up and went to the hotel for some relief.
I'll post up some pics and video later

Thanks, I hope you can too. It's been pretty hot and yesterday some bad storms but it is a great time. I'll post up more pics this weekend. I need to download them and internet is pretty slow at the hotel

Re: 2017 HRPT in a 72 Super with my wife and sons

well we made it! The old truck did great! My son's car did too. Sadly there was a fatal crash on the tour and we lost one of the hot rodders.
My friends 61 Bubble top Impala also broke down about 40 miles from the end of the tour. We had it towed to my house and we spent the night getting it fixed so they can drive home to Texas in the morning. It's been a really long day. I will post up some pics and vids after we get settled back in at home.

I don't know what it is about the power tour, but it brings out the worst weather (stupid hot, or severe rain, etc) for whatever area we go.

Last year it was 102-106* at EVERY venue from M-F. The first two days was rain off and on that kept the temps in the low 90's. Every place we went the locals swore, "this weather is crazy, it was only 85 last week", or "it's never like this, this time of year, it's usually only 88-92" etc. And we saw a freakin tornado last year. You can see the funnel starting to come down. This was taken by the car behind me, I'm actually glad I never saw it. That was on Highway 27/82 along the LA coastline.

Thanks for keeping up the posts an pics. For someone like me that is planning to do the Power Tour (2019) I appreciate getting a first hand look at what goes on during the Power Tour.

my pleasure! It has it's moments with traffic and questionable organization for parking sometimes it well worth any inconvenience
