skyjacker thoughts

I am going to replace my springs on my k20, thought I might as well go with a small lift while I am at it. Nothing major, 2" is fine for the look I am going for. Want to keep a nice ride.

What's your thoughts on the skyjacker lift kit? I am thinking the 2.5" kit with bilstein shocks.

Re: skyjacker thoughts

I would imagine with that minimal amount of lift you won't notice a negative impact on your ride quality. Bilstein are great shocks and you might find your ride actually improves!

I have 4" Skyjacker front springs on my K5 and it is a bit bouncy on certain roads, but on normal roads I think they ride very nicely. My K20 has 6" HD Tuff Country springs and it is a bit bouncier - as you would expect.

What are you doing for your rear lift, new springs, blocks or a shackle flip?

Re: skyjacker thoughts

One thought is to look at the spring pack you are buying or want to buy...look at how many leafs are in the pack 3 or 4 will ride way stiffer than a pack with 6-8 leafs, also some have teflon inserts inbetween the leafs this is also supose to provide a smoother ride...
Hope this helps...

Re: skyjacker thoughts

I was looking at the c225aks kit that comes with new front and rear springs so it would have new springs all the way around. Need to replace or fix the rear springs anyway, the po must have had some break because one side has 9 leafs and the other has 10! and they are kind of hacked in around the u bolts, kind of sits at an angle right now.
