1967/1972 350 swap

Im looking into buying a 1967 k20 sitting on a 1972 k10 frame. it has no engine just a 3 speed trans 4x4. i would like to swap the 3 speed with a 4 or 5 speed and drop a 350 engine in the truck. i don't have a ton of money to play with so im just looking into what would be easiest meaning least amount of fabrication to make it fit and cheapest. thanks for the help guys!

If you could find an original SM465 (4-speed with a granny 1st gear) you could always swap that in. The 350's were an option on these trucks, so the engine part should be easy with the right mounts.
