Has anyone uses a Welder Joe's IFS. Any opinions?

I'm not familiar with that kit. I did a search and came up with ones on ebay, is that what you're refering to? If so it would take a lot more info before I would take the chance on that one.

The reason I wouldn't go with this kit is because the a-arms seem to be custom made, What happens if one gets bent and Joe welder disappears? This is why I almost always adap. Technology from another vehicle... My subframe is from a 78 formula firebird, I will always be able to go to a parts store and get tie rods, controll arm bushings, etc...

Just something to think about... Suspension parts don't last forever...

They want 2k for those. I would want to make dang sure they would accept off the shelf parts before buying, for the same reason Maximus stated.

Maybe build your own by buying a crossmember and assembling with MII parts through like NAPA or something? Try www.speedwaymotors.com
you can buy just the crossmember for $300 and add stuff from there.

I am not as apprehensive as some. I would call them and see what they know/understand about front end geometry. There are plenty of reputable companies out there designing IFS for these trucks, for decent prices. I definently wouldn't worry about bending an A arm, factory or aftermarket....I can remember the last time I did that...oh, never. My two cents.

Thanks I seen it on there and starting bid was $990 and that is pretty cheap for an IFS with coil overs. I have talked to them a bit and they seem to know what they are talking about.

I've got the crossmember and the A frames. Both are Helix that you see in all the Hoffman group adds in the magazines.

The crossmember is strong as a bridge as it is 1/4 inch steel but the welding could be nicer looking. The A arms look allright as far as I can tell.

I had to email them for installation instructions but Anthony gets back quickly when you ask him for the instructions.

Welder Joe's may be a back door outlet for Hoffman group as everything I have bought from them and that is several pieces is right out of the Hoffman group catalogs. But at a much lower price.
