Question bucket to bench???

I am purchasing a 2000 silverado reg cab short box. it currently just has the 2 buckets and no console. I would like to either swithch it to a bench or put in a center seat like in my dads 2000 silverado x cab. just wondering what fits and if I will have to modify any mounting locations???

Re: bucket to bench???

I am pretty sure the center section of the 40/20/40 seat mounts to the inner seat studs over the seat tracks.

Re: bucket to bench???

Thanks Jonboy. I was looking at my dads pickup today and noticed the same thing. I think the previous owner took the middle seat out for some reason... So now I get to find a different one.. Oh well..

Re: bucket to bench???

If you are in process of buying the truck can't you find out from the previous owner if they still have the middle section . Even if you are buying from a dealer the name and address of the P O will be on the title. I do not think you will find just the center section that easy and if you do expect -$$$$
