Low compression #6 cylinder
I'm looking for suggestions. I don't have any history on this engine.
I have a 1971 250ci in a 1963 C10. Runs pretty well in the shop. Truck isn't quite roadworthy. Anyway, cold compression test today had me smiling until #6 cylinder tested low. Here are the numbers. #1 through #5 = 125 #6 was around 90 Please review my plan. Next is a wet compression test while cold. Then a hot compression test. Then I'll check valve lash if necessary. The engine is a little noisy but I used a hose to listen while running and it didn't seem to come from the lifters.

Re: Low compression #6 cylinder
You need to figure out of its leaking out the bottom end (rings) or top end (valves). Next test: leakdown test. I would research and determine if you can accomplish this.
