Touch up paint?

Has anyone purchased touch up paint from http://www.paintscratch.com/ before? Looking for dark blue for a 72 Blazer. Other places?

Re: Touch up paint?

I've also used automotivetouchup.com and liked it, until I found Tower Paint. They will custom mix paint from code or color match and put it in a can just like automotivetouchup.com, but they also have single stage available. I like the single stage for older vehicles because the finish more closely matches that of original paint, and can be worked if you need to. On a past project, I had to match some original patina. I got the color matched from Tower and it was dead on, and I was able to distress it to match the wear on the original paint.

Re: Touch up paint?

Sounds like both are great options, I actually would like to match the original patina on the firewall where a repair was made so maybe single stage would be best for that part.

A1971Blazer, your dash turned out great!

Can anyone confirm the paint code for a 1972 Chevy Blazer dark blue?

Re: Touch up paint?

My 72 is supposed to be a factory dark blue and walmart brand royal blue/azul is a perfect match. So good that you cant tell where I done the repair. This includes a professional painter. If you doing a scratch you spray into a container then use a tiny brush followed by a light cut and buff.
