front rotors & calipers for 70 K-10

I have a 70 k-10 with front discs on an open knuckle 44. Don't find any listings for rotors and calipers to fit a 70. Do I use 71/72 parts to replace these components? Many thanks.........Steve

Re: front rotors & calipers for 70 K-10

Front discs weren't available on the 70 K10, so I would have to assume the 71-72 Dana 44 would be the place to start referencing for parts.

73 and up D44s bolt in as well and are more common. Not sure whether there are differences, but I'd compare old and new parts before buying.

Be nice if there were brake kits for this application. Anyone hear/know of any? I also have a 70 K10 with open knuckle design. If I can't find anything I may be on the look out for a mid 70's D44.

Re: front rotors & calipers for 70 K-10

We were given a Dana 44 out of a 75 Wagoneer. I haven't gone after it yet. Anybody know if there are differences between D44's in vehicle manufacturers.

The wagoneer should have GM calipers and rotors on it. The knuckles will bolt on but not sure of the steering arm length or height

Re: front rotors & calipers for 70 K-10

My uncle gave us a D44 laying behind his shop. Somebody had already "borrowed' the caliper brackets.
