Noisy cab question

Previous owner has one of the mufflers directly under the cab, no pipe after muffler so its just dumping the sound right there under the floor.

I don't have the money to redo the exhaust right now but I was thinking about just adding some pipes off the back of the mufflers so that its not ending right under the cab. Is it ok to add pipe after the muffler or should I move the whole muffler back instead?

Re: Noisy cab question

Either will work, adding pipe after the mufflers is the quickest but moving the mufflers back will probably be quieter.

Re: Noisy cab question

Just add pipes off the outlets. My mufflers dump out the sides of the front of the bed near where it meets the cab. Not loud at all inside.

Yeah I think I'll give that a try first.

Re: Noisy cab question

When you get the money run them out the back. Let the guy behind you worry with the noise.
