Re: Old School 4x4 Wheels

That is odd. I'm sure 8-lug would require a different casting, or whatever process is used. probably billet, but would require a completely different center. That center does look huge. What a shame and waste. It's not like you cant get 15s. If you want traditional on your 1/2t, then 15" is it! At least they are a good looking option you can buy today

Here's my 67 on 15x8.5 Western slot mags with 32x11.5 BFG KO2's

I saw American Racing makes a new slot style wheel, don't like the bead lock but could be an option for bigger wheels

What size tire are you running on those 16.5 wheels?

Re: Old School 4x4 Wheels

I love CG's truck and sure don't mind seeing it, but... Some of you guys need to learn when you quote to backspace out the image so we just see the quote and not the same picture 15 times. It's real simple to do and I'm sure, if you think about it, you'll agree re-posting the same picture over and over is awfully redundant.
Just backspace to [IMG] < Right here in the quote

Re: Old School 4x4 Wheels

Cmon Tim, how can you be tired of looking at giant pics of my truck =)

Tires are 33x12.5x16.5

Not really the style I wanted but the swampers were all I could get in the size I wanted. Had to wait a bit to get them too. Something about they only make em in smallish batches now.

Who me mind? Not at all. I was speaking for the others . Oops, I quoted that wrong. No,but there is a thread on this matter in "Site Feedback" and it's not just me who feels we could do without wasting bandwidth to look at the same picture over and over just to read "Nice truck" down below it.

I hope Interco keeps making the 16.5s, but they did just come out with a road friendly tread pattern, so...

Edit: Musta pushed the wrong button...hmmm

Here is the latest set of old school style wheels and tires on the '72. Set #8 I think. First a picture from Memorial Day weekend '01 on my way home with it at a stop in WVA
