Nate, put the 15x6's on the front with a taller tire and find some six lug 15x8 steelies for the back, and use the factory dog dish caps.

But I'm open minded, check out the "Kidney Bean 6" under wheels here -

Chris, those are some great looking wheels. I actually attempted to mount the 15x6.5 (IIRC) stock wheels on the front, but with the new brake caliper they would fit correctly. For the time being I'm going to retain the rallys especially to keep the truck driveable, but will continue to determine the best option to go with. Decisions, decisions....

They do look good, don't they? You should see the price on them! Ouch! I only posted them up since I was spending your money, not mine.

Seriously though, the rally's look great too, and even if you decide to just stick with them the truck still looks awesome.

20's usually depend on the wheel choice & sizes. If you won't tell us what wheel, I can't vote ney or yeh. If you can find the 15x7" ralleys for the front, the 7/8" ralley combo would work better than the dog-dish caps on that truck IMO. For some reason the caps 'seem' larger in the pics (or maybe I'm going ).

Thanks SCOTI! I think the caps look large because they are for the wheel itself. Had they used a larger wheel initially (8") IMO they would look a ton better.

Who would have thought that wheel selection could become such a personal decision. In the old days you had cragars, chrome reverse, baby moons, and a few more styles. And you had a choice of 14 or 15in size.
Now, it's just mind boggling with all the choices.
I LOVE my cheap rallys. They may not look as hot as $3000 set of rims, but I saved 2500 dollars, and have a look that is all GM. Rallys are going to be around forever, and will look great forever. Bling styles and taste change to fast to justify spending money that will not be stylin next year.
Remember the 90's with all the billet this and that. Sorry folks, but I look at those types of rims and want to puke.
Where are all those rims now? Out of style. Where are the rallys? On our trucks. jmo

Steelies & Ralleys = timeless classics; just like the truck itself. Why stop @ the 90's for billet wheels that make you want to puke . There's plenty still being made . . ....

I actually agree with both of you guys... money isn't necessarily a hard thing to come by, but.... I don't want it going down the drain.

If I would choose to run a set of 20's... it will be done tastefully and with a classic look yet a modern twist.

Then again... you only live once, do what you like and enjoy it!

Then again, there are exceptions to every rule. My opinion would be that there are timeless classic wheels with bling.
TTll's, Vintecs, and a very small handful of others. I can't think of any but the two I mentioned. Again, jmo.
But rallys. They're cool because you can paint them what you like, add/delete trim, center cap choices etc.
I think your truck would look great with a white rally rim, and back paint the slots turquoise(what ever color it's called), 1.5in trim rings, and whatever center cap you like. Oh yea! Classic subtle look with a hotrod flair.

Nate If you remember I was driving my wife crazy about what wheels to buy at the end she bought me the wheels I have....
It was such a hard descision for me mainly what style but at the end the wheels I got I am super happy with and I am also happier that I did not spend the 5k that I was about to spend in wheels for this bucket..

Consider me subscribed!! Props to Keith and all that helped you out here. This well be a great place to reference when I start on my 3/5" with shock relocaters and super track bar. Well you sir did basically what I'm gonna do. Brakes, track bar, ect, ect. Only difference is I'm not going as low. I guess you can say I'm not as low as you are. (Well, after I read it out loud that wasn't as funny as it sounded in my head.) Anyway, the truck looks GREAT.

Thanks stealthy '69! Good luck with the install, it will definitely be worth it. Just know that once you get to 3/5... you will want to go lower.

It funny you should say that, I think Keith said the same thing. I do drive it every day, and over some tough roads, but I think you might be right. Maybe I should wait to install the spring till I pick up the disk setup and get the lowering spindles to go 5.5" in front, may be that's too much though.

I don't think I wrote my last post above very well... what I meant to say was that a 4.5/6 would be as low as I would go for a DD. This thing rides beautifully! I was truly surprised.

Yea but I think 5.5" in the front may be too low. Oh well, I guess I'll stick with what I got and see how it turns out with a 5.5"/5" drop.

Nate, make your mind up on the rims? we currently have 2.5" ece drop spindles and 4" ece dropped spring/shock relocators etc, after my Son saw your truck, he wants to go lower now...... told him we could do this after everything is back together.
