Wiring diagram for power seats and heaters

Hi all, I'm looking for the wiring diagram for a 99-07 set of Tahoe seats. I'm needing to figure out the seat heater wiring and also need the part number for the terminals inside the connector. Thanks for any help.

Re: Wiring diagram for power seats and heaters

Ok, this is a dumb question, but where is the heater on off switch located? Is it on the seat or dash? Thanks, Jeff.

Cline, could I get a pic of what yours look like? There are a few choices out there to choose from and I want something close. Thanks, Jeff.

Thanks for the pic. The ones in my Camaro are on the dash. They look different than that, just hi/lo settings in one button.

Re: Wiring diagram for power seats and heaters

Anyone know where the heater relay is? I'm guessing up on the inner fender in the engine compartment. Also, where is the Thermistor? My guess is in the seat itself. I purchased a set of 03 Tahoe seats off ebay about 3 years ago, and I hooked up the movement but not the heat. I did get the memory and heat controls with the seats too.

Re: Wiring diagram for power seats and heaters

Sorry for bringing up an old thread but I'm having issues with these exact seats. I purchased them to go in an 89 K5 Blazer. I have the power hooked up but haven't figured out the heat yet.

I have the seats only. Is there anything special about the switch for the seats? From the gauge of the wire used in the 16-pin connector I'm guessing the seats will get the power from a relay in the seat, and there is only the one power source.

Is it as simple as applying a 12v signal to one of the pins to trigger the seat heaters? Is there anything else I need to add?

Thanks for any help.

Here's the 16-pin connector:

Re: Wiring diagram for power seats and heaters

I have a 06 with the memory seats. Everything goes through the switch on the door. I lost movement in the driver seat, it stopped about half way back. I can't even get to the rear bolts to get the seat out to check anything out. Anybody know how to over ride the system for the seats? I think i lost a module. The module controls the pass seat heater also, we changed the switch in the door it didnt help. We lost the heaters in both seats. Im going to hate to take it to chevy. I have a feeling it could get costly. I would be curious to see where the relays are too?

Re: Wiring diagram for power seats and heaters

If you can get to the wiring connector pull it apart and put 12v to the orange and black wires. I think. I don't remember which color is for the power movement. Use a battery charger with some wires for leads, or use a cordless drill or other power tool battery 16v or less to touch to wires in the connector under seat. Do not touch the yellow wire with power!! Yellow is for airbag.

Re: Wiring diagram for power seats and heaters

Thanks for the info. I will try it tomorrow, hopefully i can get to the connector. LOL, its probably on the backside. Hopefully this will help the guy who started the thread too. If i can get the seat moved i can get to the rear nuts. I found a module on GMdirect for $367., If i buy it from the dealer it $507...If i have them do it it $90 for the scan and $165 a hour to fix it. I'm also going to test the relays also.

Yep, orange and black are movement power. That is all I have done at this point, maybe someday I'll get the door switches and heaters hooked up!

Re: Wiring diagram for power seats and heaters

I took it to Chevy to have it body scanned. It ended up having 2 clips broke the main harness. of course the orange and the black one. Funny thing was he had to reflash the module because it was all over the place it didnt know what to do? One of the heaters started working and the other wasnt. Raised a red flag with the mech. He said every function goes through the module including the heater functionand there are relays for both seats in the seats. He said sometimes the seats come unplugged that the module will need to be reflashed, which means reprogrammed. Ummmm, might be something to look at?

Re: Wiring diagram for power seats and heaters

Hey fellas, on this topic- does anyone know how to tell if the seats I bought are heated or not? Sounds like something I should have looked into when I bought but the guy didn't know anything about them and for $60 I just took them and ran haha. They are leather with all electric control (lumbar also) looks like drivers seat has an 8 pin and passenger has a 4 pin harness. Thanks!
