1955 Chevy with GMC grill, whats needed?

So I just picked up a 1955 Chevy. I love the look of the GMC grill. What does it take to install a GMC grill on the Chevy? I believe the fenders are the same, minus a hole or two but what about everything else.

I think you'd have to fill some gaps in the fenders as the GMC has a narrower grill. You'll also need the grill surround and maybe a tweak or two to the inner fenders. I'll take some picks of mine tomorrow so you can compare it with your truck.

The simple way would be to find someone with a GMC with an equally nice nose on his truck who would rather have the Chevy nose and swap complete noses. That is if you have the front end all there to swap.

I should have clarified, 55 second series. Original California truck. Been sitting for at least 14 years.

From the research I've done it looks like it should bolt right on after a few holes are drilled. They only modification looks to be getting the upper GMC mustache to bolt to the Chevy upper grill/fender mounting cross bar.

That's if you can find all of the GMC piece's!

Yeah, the fenders are the same, just need to drill holes. The crossover piece that the upper mustache bolts to is different. The GMC piece has an outward arc while the Chevy piece is basically flat. Not sure if the hoods are the same.
