Great point. Speaking for myself, sometimes I get locked in on one perspective (UP) when down is a better option. Especially for something you don't want scratched.

I've always used a sprinkler valve box, just because it's what's available. They work pretty well, especially the 21x15x12.

71 Custom Deluxe, SWB, 2WD, 402, A/C. I developed an assm. guide "kit" for restoring it from ground up. I usually use a small step stool, but have had it slip out from under me when reaching to the back of the engine compartment

I have one similar to this, love the heck out of it. Folds up nicely and is a metal traction steps. Easy to adjust and use. I use it all the time.... love it.
