2006 GMC Leaning.....Can you measure yours?
I have a brand new GMC 1500 that leans to the left. I am hoping I can inspire all of you with Chevy and GMC trucks to measure your trucks and reply so I can collect the averages. The local tire shop looked mine over and suggested an easy way to measure. Measure from the top edge of the rim to the center of the wheel arch opening. Mine is consistantly lower by 5/8 front and back on the drivers side. My friends 2006 Chev. was over an inch taller on the passenger side. Thanks for checking it might be interesting.

Update.....I went to the dealer today to have my truck looked at. They said there is nothing GM would do until I have 2000 miles on it.....Hmmmmmm

Re: 2006 GMC Leaning.....Can you measure yours?
I have a 2000 gmc that is about 3/4 of an inch lower on the drivers side. I always figured it was all the weight of the behemoth 28 gallon fuel tank and 170,000 miles of pulling my fat butt around.

That is a common problem on newer chevys and gmc. They are numerous ways to fix it. I have heard of tire pressure changes, there are spacers for coild springs, and adjustments to drop equipment.
I dont think youll have much luck at the dealer. They usually tell you everything is fine with it. You can just lean with it too

I have an 06 Crew Cab Z71 with 5,000 miles. There is no difference from side to side. Maybe I am just lucky.

Thanks for checking...I was hoping for quite a few checks so I could figure out if its a dealer problem or a drop kit issue. Thanks K.C.
