Can you dissamble the factory door mirrors?
I getting my 87 painted and I want to paint my mirrors the same color as my truck.My painter wants me to take them apart.I have searched with no results.Can they be dissembled?

The arm will come out of the base, but the mirror is glued in with silicone.

you'll have to break the mirror glass, take it apart, do your thing and then get a new glass installed. you can get the mirrors in painted also. might be easier than trying to paint stainless steel.

I was gonna say as well...just getum already painted or powder coat
I know ive seen em white ,but lmc only shows black, chrome, and stainless but theyre only $25 each in black...not sure what color your truck is...
