any smoothed blazer gates?

im starting the body work on my blazer, i was thinking about getting ride of the window key hole. has anyone ever done this? what does it look like?

I did it, but am not done with it yet. Here is a view in primer. This picture is about 4 months old. I hope to have it painted in 3-4 months

That should be pretty easy to photoshop, plenty of guys here are good at that. That'd look good as long as you know going in that the interior rear window switch is not reproduced. It can be replaced with something aftermarket if necessary but we're talking about a basic momentary switch, nothing even pretending to be factory.

Right. This is a power tailgate off of an 85, so I have the regulator and wires coming from that. Motor is simple, and I just figured I would use a window switch from a later model truck and put it in the console. I actually did this about 15 yrs ago on a 79 I built while in school. Looks pretty slick.
