Re: Lets see some 73-87 work horses

Here is our old 74! Not much of a body but the original paint still shines! We saved this truck from the junk yard 15 years ago. It was on it way and we stopped the tow truck. Put a set of points in it and it fired right up! Sold it last fall to a church group. I guess they are using it as a grounds truck.

Yep, I agree with you on "Sailed's" truck.
I'm thinking of doing the same with my 86 M1008 CUCV.

Here are a few more pics of me working my 1977 truck. Pic #1 shows a commonality among my friends and what they were driving 33+ years ago.
My Colonial yellow K30 nestled in there with my army poncho draped over the front mounted spare.

Heres mine. 88 3+3 90 Cummins, dodge 60/70 3.54 ratio crossover steering it was originally a 2wd dually it still needs a lot of work but is a blast to drive and pulls anything. I drive it to 1100 miles to work one way twice a month. best part is no payment...and 17+mpg.

Now that is a hell of a set-up! You should tell the story of your build sometime.
