Rally Wheel Lug Nuts
I need some help. I need to get my wheels and tires off, but cannot figure out what's going on with my lug nuts. Has anyone seen these before and does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove them? I 17mm socket fits on them but my 17mm tire iron doesn't (no idea how that works). Do these require a special keyed socket?

Those are spline drive and do require a special socket. If you try to remove them with a normal socket they'll round off and you'll have a bad time.

The socket you are referring to is called a spline key. Any tire chain store should be able to let you use a spline key that fits that lug set, however they may make you buy a new spline lug nut kit to get to keep a key as I don’t know if they sell just the key.
