Cheap 1/2 ton Lift?

I'm looking at buying 99-03 half ton four by, and I am just considering what my options are going to be lifting it? And i don't want to just crank up the torsion bars.
I know on the 2500 Hd's you can replace the stock torsion bar keepers with the half ton ones and get about an extra 2 inches, does anybody know of any similar tricks for the half tons?
