Help identify ports on Edelbrock 2116 intake manifold

Looking for some help since the Edelbrock manual was awful. It doesn't even identity the thread and pitch on some of these holes. You just gotta figure it out.

I have two pictures outlining some ports that I've closed up for now until I know what they do. I'm trying to identity the ones I need to put something in, what it does, and if I need it. I'm assuming there is cab heater in and out and water temp sensor. Not sure which is which.

TIA

Re: Help identify ports on Edelbrock 2116 intake manifold

1. Water pump bypass hose outlet
2. water pump bypass inlet
3. vacuum port for what ever
4 & 5. water ports for what ever. one side of the heater
the other side of the heater would need to be on the water pump

water pump bypass is seldom use anymore

you could use Port 5 and 2 for the heater

ports are either 3/8 NPT or 1/2" NPT

Thanks!! So there are no ports for the dashboard water temp sender? Or do I just use on of the free ones for 4 and 5.

Here is a shot of the carburetor which is also not very well documented. Can you help identify the ports? I believe 6 and 8 are vacuum advance ports, but they are facing away from the HEI. I'm also not convinced I even need to hook up the vacuum advance on the HEI. I fired up the engine without it the other day. The site says vacuum advance helps fuel economy at cruising. I seriously doubt how much "efficiency" I'd get out of a little extra puff of air in a V8 lol.

What I can't figure out is if one of these ports is the fuel return.

Re: Help identify ports on Edelbrock 2116 intake manifold

Ok, found some answers on the carburetor...

6 is for automatic transmission? Although my 700r4 doesn't have anything that looks like a vacuum tube.
7 is PCV valve
8 is timed vacuum advance

9 is for power brake booster

This was a good write up of the ports

I have an Edelbrock Air Gap and used #4 for my temp sensor.
