best rear suspension for 1990 suburban

im trying to figure out what direction to go with my rear suspension, there seems to be a lot of choices. im trying to figure out what I need for my application...my burban is used to travel and running around town and to shows.
any Ideas or experiences suggestions? any input would help....

More info? 2x or 4x 1/2 or 3/4 ton? Might help with responses, also what are you considering?

1990 suburban 1500 1/2 ton 2wd. I'm looking at weld on parrllel 4 link from KP components.
