Removing rocker boxes
What's the best way to remove the rocker box from the inside channel? It would make replacing my panels easier and give me the chance to evaluate rust better. It looks like there are welds inside the oblong holes? Grind 'em, chisel, or both?

there's some welds on the front side too, towards the wheel well. Grind carefully cause you don't want to cut into the support brace. Goodluck

Just took out my driver's side box. Its a lot easier if you have to cut your floor pan out. I used a combination of grinding w/ a 3" air cutoff tool, reciprocating saw to cut the welds where I could get inbetween the support brace and box, and a sharp chisel. Good luck.

If they are spot welds, I believe Eastwood has a tool for cutting them.

They're not spot welds... more like stitch welds. I had good luck getting mine off with a 4" grinder and an air chisel. I had to jack the front of the tub off of the frame somewhat to get access to everything.

Make sure the top is on or you put in some bracing to hold the body rigid.
