Anyone have a subscription to Street Trucks?

I am interested in getting a subscription to Street Trucks Magazine. Wondering if you guys liked it and if you know of any promotions going on with them. Any other magazine suggestions?

Here is a link to Classic Trucks for $24 for 2 years and a free clock:

Be careful on that two year deal from Classic Trucks. They make you pay shipping with your credit card and at the end of the two years they'll automatically renew you for the full subscription price. Read the fine print on that deal. I did that deal and cancelled before the two years ran out then re subscribed later.

I always use a prepay credit card for these sorts of transactions...

If you buy the mags retail anyways, you are much better off with the subscription...

Are you asking about Street Trucks, or Classic Trucks, or both? I'd only buy Classic Trucks, but that's because that's what I like. I can't tell you what you like. Regardless, a subscription is cheaper than buying one at the newsstand every month.

The scam with magazines seems to be "renewal" forms that aren't really renewals, but new offers. After all, you don't want to not stop failing to not receive it, right?

So if someone else in the house does the renewals for you, they have to be careful! Hemmings is the worst, they continually try to get you to sign up for the old classified stuff when you subscribe to their mags (the mags are good, but eBay displaced Hemmings classifieds for most stuff).

Excellent point Dave - and this is the main reason I have almost not subscriptions. When you sign up for a year, seems you get a renewal notice after about 2 months, and every 2 thereafter. So, but the time a year goes by and your first actual subscription ends, you've already paid for the next 6 years (IF you actual pay for all those in between).... If I do subscribe, I let it expire and let them make me an offer I can't refuse to come back
