Leaking expansion valve

When I vaccuumed down my AC system, it leaked about half the vacuum overnight. The HVAC guy did his initial test, said no leak. I was dubious, but he was going to fill it.

And sure enough, when he did, the -then- found a leak at the expansion valve.

The price isn't much, 20 to 50 bucks, but I want to make sure I get a decent one. The "Four Seasons" one looks more original on the RockAuto pics than the ACDelco one does, and the LMC truck one doesn't include a picture.

The Classic Industries one looks decent, but is $70, and I don't know if it's any more authentic.

Does anyone have any experience or an opinion on which one to get? I think I'll be using R-134, if it matters.

Thanks,
Dave

Re: Leaking expansion valve

Since no one seems to have been down this road before, I wound up ordering an NOS one to be safe. At least it'll match, and it's listed as "RECONDITIONED". That could mean anything, but hopefully it works.

Re: Leaking expansion valve

Where did you get this "reconditioned" exp valve, Ebay? NOS would mean it was never used so there would be no need to recondition.
