diamond cut headlights

Does anybody have diamond cut headlights? I bought a set for my 71 off ebay. No mounting brackets, they don't even fit the the whole in the core support. They said they would bolt right in. what did you use for brackets??

The buckets are too shallow for the new lenses. If you install them without modifying the buckets, you're likely to get cracked lenses in a few days time. Ask me how I know

They are the same diameter, but the depth (the spherical shape of the back) is much more than a standard 6014/6024 sealed beam light. It is that depth that is the problem with regard to fitment in the 67-72 headlight buckets.

well, it seems to me you could uh.. rig the headlight buckets in the back so it will fit, it might not be as pretty from the other side.. but it should look the same from the front.

in restorations its not whats supposed to fit, but what you can make fit hehe... I should practice what I preach more
