Exclamation Ohio board gathering!

Mr Cheeswagon brought up a good idea to me this morning and I think if we're gonna do this, we need to get the ball rolling about now-ish.
An Ohio board meeting. I've been to one meeting, in Ky and had a good time...so I think we should have one here too. (huck, you still planning on having another meeting this year)

Mr Wagon and I Agree that July 12 (a Saturday) would be a good time.

We also think someplace centrally located would be best for all members. We figure that way people from Cinci only have to go 100 or so miles instead of a 200 mile haul to get to Cleavland or something.

Have a couple problams though...We need someone to donate there yard or something for the cause. I tried getting my Cousin to go along, (located in the Lima area) but her place is a total dump and she's too embarassed)
Cheesewagon thought about a public meeting ground, but the fact that a dozen or so loud trucks in one public location...let alone a park where people go to get away from stuff like that, would be frowned apon by the park rangers. plus you just KNOW some one will get out there and do a burnout.

We agreed that now is the time to plan this little shin-dig so we can all plan to attend and bore our friends at work about it sor a few months.

Of course, you don't need to have Ohio tags to attend...the more members, the better.

I am game. And we can do it at my place. Lots of yard room. And also indoor space if it rains.
Also, my wife works at a kickbutt pizza place where she gets a discount. hehe.
Lots of stuff to work on. I got tons of tools and parts if anyone needs anything done to their trucks.
Anything from bodywork to carb rebuilds. We do it all here.
Longhornmail has been here. As well as a few others. Lets get it together.

Can't seem to vote, but I've got just as good a rustbucket as anybody and would like to see others. The Mountain State is bad on any vehicle. I don't know if I can carry enough oil with me to get there though. Wherever "there" ends up being.

Well, fine69's place is pretty central (Urbana) making it easy for all to get to, and he does have the room and the cheap pizza... and mike has lots of neat stuff there too. Including a dump truck saved from the torch. (aka...fast68)
Kinda sounding like a plan to me!
jason...thanks for the stickey status on the thread.
WV...PA...y'all are welcome too!
How does the date sound to you mike? I know you work funny hrs and all over there.
Here is a Yahoo Map showing where Urbana is...Mike lives a little outside of town, but this will give you an idea of where we're looking at doing this.

Count me in as long as something doesn't come up unexpected. May not have the Burb roadworthy as I plan on tearing it down and redoing it, but that will give me a date to shoot for!!

I had to give the rust bucket vote.

You all REALLY do not want to see my truck.

Ask Fine69, I bet he still has nighmares.

Runs like a top though

I'll follow the thread and see what I can do about showing up in July.

See ya, Brian.

The closer it gets to July 12th, I'll be able to give ya'll a better conformation. But for right now, count me in. The 70 GMC's still in the garage, but I think the 67 Chevy can make the trip. Fine69 does have a lot of truck parts at his place. Might have to bring the checkbook also.

Thanks Andy for doing the post, and getting the poll going. I can't believe all the response's so far. I can bring my dads 30 gallon cooker for making a hobo dinner if that's ok. Thanks Fine 69 for offer to use your place. As for the good guys show, now that's added bonus. The idea of the Tri-state meeting sounds really cool. This could become a yearly outing that we could all look forward to. Well I guess it's time to iron -out the details. So just e-mail or post any suggestions, catch you latter, Tom. And Andy whats with the Mr. Wagon. Man that really makes me feel like a old fart, ( just kidding).

Sure, you can drive the S-10...but you'll have to park it across the street!
I am kinda amazed at the responce here too, however, even though many of us are wanting/planning to go, some of us remember the float trip that about 50 of us (myself included) planned on attending. Once it came to the float date, no one showed up except the one who came up with the idea.

I'd love to be there - and it's only a little better than an hour from home! There's probably no way I'll have the 71 on the road by then, but maybe I'll show up anyway!

I'll be more than happy to park across the street!!
