Am fm flipper help

Just bought a 71-72 am fm off ebay knowing the flipper didnt flip. The little black nylon cable broke and trying to figure out how to replace it. I have the front off and cannot figure how it attaches to the flipper (am fm dial.) Is there a hook on the bottom of it? Once I fix this then I need to test it.....thanks

Re: Am fm flipper help

Think I figured out the dial flipper cord. Radio powers up but no sound.....does it need to be screwed into the bracket to ground the radio? The original am wasnt and it worked. Previous owner had removed it to work on the ac duct work.
