Removal of outer rear window steel - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Guys, I am getting ready to replace my rear window with a solid piece, and my super has the stainless trim that goes around the lower side of the window.

Is there an easy way to remove this piece?

Also when I install the new rubber seal do I need to put anything on the outside of it? Adhesive or anything?

Cut the seal with a razor from the inside and once it is out it should be easy to remove.
