Suspension upgrade

Ok guys- a newbie here...What is the best/ cheapest/ cleanest way to upgrade these trucks. I read a little about the S-10 frame swap, but am unsure as to whether I want to have to remount the bed and such.

I want to drive the truck everyday, and still be safe/ reliable enough to use as a truck.

Truck will be lowered.
I am looking at probably just doing a primered black shop-truck look.
Let me know what you think.

I was looking at some upgrade parts in the LMC catalog, cause I wanted power steering, and it is pretty expensive, but doable.
]I am concidering the S10 swap myself. It looks like it wouldn't be too hard, plus the late model suspension would be easy to get parts for.Disk brakes,PS PB,IFS,5 lug axels,V8 swap made easy, several things are really pulling me that way.Not to mention I have the exact frame I need already, which would cut costs to nearly 0 in my case. The brakets to convert to PS are 100+ and then you still have a straight axel, and drum brakes.

The frame swap is gonna take some time, and work, but the end result would be worth it IMO.

Thanks for the reply- I was actually just thinking of splicing on an S-10 clip to the frame. I definately want the updated steering/ brakes/ etc., but I don't like the kick up the S-10 frame has at the rear by the bed. I read somewhere that you have to raise the bed, and lower the fenders(?) to accommodate the kick-up in the frame. My bed has most of the original wood in it, and I don't want to disturb it anymore than neccessary.

Thanks again for the help!
