I've searched google and this site and just can't seem to find my answer. Not sure if this is the right spot to post or not.

I'm looking for a cheap set of wheels for my pickup while I'm restoring it. Just so I can wheel it in and out of the garage easier rather than jack stands on rollers. I'm going to wait to install the nice wheels until I'm almost done with the build.

I've called some junk yards around here and they need to know a vehicle make to look up on their computer system. Apparently it doesn't work to type in 17" 5x5 wheel.

Just wondering what vehicles came factory with at least a 17" 5x5 wheel? Don't care if it's larger than that. 17" minimum to clear my disc brakes.

That's going to be a challenge. The 1998 GM trucks were last year with 5 on 5 for the 2x4 and most were 15's. You might find some 16's. 1999 with the LS powered trucks they went to 6 lug on both 2 and 4 wheel drive trucks.

People you transport wheels for the newer trucks and Toyota FJ cruiser steel wheels in 17" diameter, but they are 6 lug as noted above. And they have a small hole like the 5 on 5 so won't work on the 67-70 six luggers.

Anything that size is hard to find. Jeep had some after 2007 but the centre bore is different.
Likely easier to build something like these on your rollers.

They are available and you can make your own garage rollers out of 3/4" plywood. Or just buy wheel dollies for under your rotors.

Yea ive heard jeep wheels work with enlarging the center bore which I wouldn't care about. I'm just looking for a wheel that would get the frame in and out of garage easier.

Thanks for the link on the jack/wheel attachments. That's the same concept as I have now. I have those wheel dollies with plywood and then jack stands on the plywood.

Yea I need a minumum of 17" since I have 13" rotors.

This page (s) does not have a search feature, but the info for wheel dia, no. lugs and bolt circle is there for each wheel listed. You have to follow the trail into each make and sub-model and go into various years individually, but the info is there with pictures.

The little four wheel carts are (or were)11 bucks at harbor freight. Can use them for lots of other things, too.
