72 factory CST (low but soon to be not slow)

Recent purchase. PO's did some of the body work but still needs some help in areas. Shaved door handles, gas filler and side markers as well as installed bags but not a clean install on really anything so some work to be done still. Eventually will be LQ4/4l60E (have both already but need rebuilt). Hope to be around 500 RW-HP

Did a little work this past weekend. Bed, cab, front end off and now on to clean up the frame and paint as well as plumb the air lines since they were ran everywhere before

Re: 72 factory CST (low but soon to be not slow)

After power wash, I decided frame needed blasted. In addition some of the front end joints were pretty bad so new front end rebuild kit is on the way. Also did not like the way PO's murdered the stock control arms, so CPP tubular control arms are on the way :-)

Got a littl more work done. Frame back from sandblasting and first coat of paint complete. Ohh and the CPP fairy left me some stuff at my door 👊

Looks good. What did you use to paint the frame?

Gizz,

Duplicolor self etching primer and then Duplicolor semi-gloss enamel. Did not want to do the POR15 or others like it because I still have some fabrication work to do and want to be able to spot touch up.
