Wanting to Lower My 1997 Cheyenne!!!!

I just bought a 1997 cheyenne. I want to lower my truck and want to do it the right way the first time. Im new to this truck world and would like to get some advice from some of you guys who have lowered their trucks. I was looking to het a 5/8 drop and put some 20's on it and like to know what would be the perfect tire size for this rims and the drop. I would like to know what would be a good brand for this process. Also not wanting to have a bouncy ride and what i can do to avoid this. Thanks in advance...

Re: Wanting to Lower My 1997 Cheyenne!!!!

My truck is about a 6/6 (2" spindle 3" spring with 1/4 coil cut off & flip kit & notch in rear) using all Western Chassis parts with 255/35/20 on 20x8/5 with 5.25 backspacing in front & 275/35/20 on 20x10 with 5.5 backspacing in rear. Rides great. The tires will rub the inner fenders occasionally but nothing major.

I too used western chassis for everything but my spindles and shocks on my 98. Doestch tech shocks are the only way to go once its low! No idea on tire sizes as I run 17's.

I have 5/8 drop. I tuck 255/35/20 on all four corners. No rub.
