Chip the '99 Tahoe?

I have a 2000 Tahoe, but is the old body style with a 5.7. Will a chip really help this thing run or do they not work well in gassers? I would just like to get a little more go out of it. It is as stock minus the 285/75/16's. What have you guys done?

Re: Chip the '99 Tahoe?

id go to wait4me performance.com, and call jessie...they charge like 160 and sent u a custom tunes pcm, and let you keep your old one if you want to switch back to stock, its cheaper than a programmer and it packs a lot more punch as ive heard, and everybody talks good about this guy...no exhaust or intake mods right?
