Why not just get a used replacement? Only way these should ever need replacement is damage as it’s mot a wear item and Im sure there are many people on the board that would sell one. Or is 67 specific like some odd ball items?

Re: 67 drag link?

I doubt anyone makes one, these pickup center links have no joints in them, nothing to wear, unless in an accident....

That would be great. My 67 has a mid 80’s front end under it. I have everything to rebuild and lower the front end but I need a 67 drag link to make it all work. I would take a used one or a new one I don’t care as long as it is good. I have been on this forum for years but actually didn’t know where to look for a used one. My understanding is it is one year specific. I finished the rear half almost 2 years ago and finally am starting to do the front and this is the sticking point.

Thanks. That hopefully means a used one can be found.

67 did, but I have heard that some 68's did also...(here). I assume everything 66 and earlier had the ram setup...

Re: 67 drag link?

I’m trying to understand what’s goin on here. If you have an 80s front end what all is later model? Does the 67 frame not allow for a late model steering gear box? On my 70 every single piece is from an 86 from rotors to all steering components

I will explain the best I can with what knowledge I have. I have an 80 front end in my 67. It is converted to power steering and 5 lug disc. I am rebuilding the front end and installing drop spindles and springs. When I started this I had no idea the front end had been updated and I had already purchased everything for the 67 front end. I worked with the place I bought the parts from very reputable parts company that alot of us use that only really does 67 - 72 chevy and some 73 - 87. When we discovered the newer front end called them and they exchanged some of the parts and said all you will need to complete the job is a 67 drag link. Fast forward the truck has been sitting for two years and I am finally getting back at it. I called back to go through it with them again to make sure I have all i need. They explained it and actually a drag link from a 67 - 70 1/2 will work.

Hope that makes better sense.
