Modding a tank for internal pump. Possible?
I have a tank from CPP, it's fine except I'm on external pump #2 and it's getting louder by the day. The way the outlet on the tank is so low and having to mount the pump on the frame rail, it's an uphill fight against gravity and there's no work around. I'd like to try and put an internal pump in the tank I have but not sure how to put the flange on there and make it work right.....ideally without having to weld on it since there has been fuel in it. Can someone help me with this fix?

Tanks, Inc. sells a really nice kit for doing that.
Check them out. |

You could use a PA-TBI which has about 12 psi
or a PA-2 which has 40 psi These are made for retrofitting tank to internal pumps. |

Phantom from Aeromotive is an option.

Re: Modding a tank for internal pump. Possible?
Thank you all. Yep, I have a PA-4 from Tanks Inc from a previous project. My truck has a 5.3L so it needs 57 psi. I called them and he said the pump could be installed in my tank but I'm not sure how I'd get the mounting ring INSIDE the tank and bolt in the pump from the top?
That Aeromotive kit is slick! Kinda pricey but it looks like they've figured out a way to mount it when you have no access to the inside of the tank. Sure would save me a bunch of money if I could get the pump I already have on there, just not thinking clear on how to get it done. Any ideas?
