This is 38's on a four inch lift, and it was too much, and the fronts rubbed. Went back to 33's and saving for Bushwacker flares and TSL 37's. I would say you will need at least an 8 if not 12 inch lift.

Thank you! A 12 Inch lift kit costs more than I paid for the body on the above truck.

That is the absolute truth, but we're keeping the planet "green" by keeping them out of the landfills.

Re: 44s on a 79 Blazer

Just to give you something else to think about. I have a 1987 3/4 ton Suburban with an 8" Superlift kit on it and 36x15.50's on a 12" wide rim and they will scrub on the front corner of the front fenders when I am turning really sharp. I know that my Sub weighs a good bit more than your Blazer though. I do know that the narrower the wheel and tire you go with the less lift and trimming you will need to do. I would try a set of 42" TSL's on a 10" wide rim. The 42's are a little bit narrower and I think that they look great!

WHEN DOING a lift i always like lifting the body also. For cleaning purposes a quick small lift don't need nothing but your mounts and adjust everything else

Re: 44s on a 79 Blazer

12 suspension and 3 body to clear your 44's.And if you are wheelin it they will still rub......IF you are going to wheel it.......throw your half ton stuff away.If you get it to move, that stuff will break.Go with atleast the 3/4 ton 14 bolt-FULL float-and a 44 or 10 bolt in the front with atleast 4.10s.........I ran 5.13s with my 42s............
