I'm pretty sure they were the larger 13" drums as this rear came from a mid 80's 1 ton but i don't remember what their width was. Very heavy. My 14bolt was a junk yard jewel and the pads and drums needed replaced so i decided to do the disk swap.

I've also heard of drilling and tapping the face of the transmission and running in bolts from inside the bellhousing through the original holes. It means the bellhousing and trans need to be installed as a unit, but lots of other transmissions are that way to start with so it's not a big problem. Just be careful on the length of the bolts, you don't want them sticking out inside the trans and binding on a gear!
