31 gallon late model gas tank

does anyone have pics info on installing a later model larger gas tank in their burban?

pics and what has to move
going into a 3/4 ton 2wd -

I used a '73 30 or 31 Gal tank and it worked really well. I made two wood blocks for the tank to rest against reworked the neck to fit and made the rear strap brackets. the whole project took a good days work.

I was planning on the same tank the 73-91 suburban 31 gallon
shows alot - I see you removed the crossmember did you weld one back inplase or just relocate?

what did you do to re-work the neck I know the gas fill is different on the 73-up i was planning on rotating the tank?

It's been 4 or 5 years since I did the work but if I remember I just removed the crossmember and when I put in the wood blocks I used wood screws from the top to hold them in place. I put in the tank with the neck to the stock '71 position-to the left- The work on the filler tube was cutting it and rotating & bending it slightly to wave it line up with the tank inlet. I'll try to show the pictures of the tube.
