Kevin, are the tires turned to full lock in those pictures? Is that with it sitting on the ground or raised a inch or two?

Nope, no DM... Yet. I have a feeling my Blazer will get the C4 or maybe a C5, C6 or even a C7 by the time I get around to building that one.

Nope it is layed out with the tires almost lock to lock. The pics are deceiving as far as the rack and arms looking level. This truck would sit lower if my shop floor was not so high

I do own a DM C4 and it should be here this week for my Tahoe

Re: LFD's XXL DropMember I6 Install

Floor is all finished just waiting for the seam sealer to dry so I can touch up the paint. The PS line kit I ordered did not work so my Local Napa guy is taking care of that for me.

I will start the bed work on Tuesday.

There are a few factors contributing to XXL's truck being able to do this:

-The the inner fenders are trimmed
-The firewall is tubbed
-He is running a small diameter tire (compared to 20s)

Your average DM install won't do that- at least mine doesn't

Are you finishing the sheetmetal work that was started? I have been anticipating the completion of that for a while. Very slick, unique ideas he had for the stepper...

Thanks. I'm trying to juggle the truck back into the dd rotation for a few weeks so I can finish some mods on my real dd. As a result, I've only asked Kevin to do a couple of things in the bed. Once I get some more time to get the truck back to him, I'll be coaxing him to do some more fun things to the truck.

I'm sure $$$ it won't $$$ take too $$$ much to $$$ coax $$$ him to $$$ work on $$$ your truck $$$

J/K. I really wish he was closer to me...I'd have him make a few of my blazer ideas into reality.

He's about 90 miles from me, which translates into about 700 corner stores, which means if I catch them before they make their nightly drop, I can just about pay for Kevin's work, plus the bullets and gas for the getaway car.

BTW, he's worth what he charges... but don't tell him that. I'm trying to dicker down.

Re: LFD's XXL DropMember I6 Install

I put the seat back in and closed the cab door for the last time! Only part left of the DM install is the PS lines, my guy came bu tonight and did a few mock ups but I was not happy with what he had so we will try again tomorrow night. I am wanting a clean simple look without a bunch of adapters if at all possible. That tunned is about 1/4" clear of the seat and looks really good.

I started on the bed tonight with panels I had my sheet metal shop brake up for me to Kens specs. He wants the top rails of all 4 sides the same and now they are! I will finish weld them up in the next day or so then spray on a coat of epoxy. First thing I did was trim the panels since I had them made 1/4" long so I could trim to fit. Then I cut two flat pieces to weld in the floor to seal off the chamber once the panels go in.

Re: LFD's XXL DropMember I6 Install

All finished, I will do a shack down inspection Friday night then a test drive Saturday morning. I shot a coat of DP90LF on the bare steel and shot the inner sides as well since they were bare.
