68 Steering Column Question

Is a 68 auto column the same as 69 thru 72 as far as wiring is concerned . I have a 68 parts truck I would like to rob the column out of for my 70 .

Re: 68 Steering Column Question

Can only say for sure with my truck, but I believe all 68 trucks are the same. My truck had a manual steering box and I had to replace the whole steering column when I changed over to a 69 and later Saginaw power steering box. The lower end of my 68 column would not work with the power steering box.
