Hooker 2455 with column shifted automatic??

Will Hooker 2455HKR headers fit with the stock column shifted automatic.Truck is a 1972 c20 big block with thm400 transmission

Considering the application list is all cars... I'd say no.

But I know some cats run BBC headers designed for Chevelles or Camaros on these trucks that seem to fit okay.

I saw that some people were running the 2455 on the c10s but they hadn’t said if they had column or floor shifted and if it would work the same for a c20

Column shift frame mounted linkage will not clear Chevelle headers. You will have to go with a Lokar or similar linkage kit or a cable shift set up.

As said above, they won't clear the frame mounted stock linkage. I went with the lokar setup and it works great. It makes for a super simple clean setup that honestly operates smoother than the factory stuff did. You may have to figure something out on your trans crossmember too. I had a tubular one that was mounted to the lower frame rail and the headers ran right into it. I ended up chopping it a little and flipping the mount and mounted it off the top frame rail. The headers do fit great, and now the exhaust is all tucked flush with the frame, nothing hanging down.
