68 c10 long bed

I am going to need a new drive shaft for by new build, c10 454 with turbo 400, adding a gear vender. my question is: should I keep same diameter
or beef it up a little. I see they sell the slip yoke with a larger series universal.
go big or go home, or keep it the same dia.
