the deals are still out there 67 failed cab project saved

I ran across this local 67 titled cab last week offered at $500 , I went down and took a quick look and passed on it . after multiple text messages from the owner I ended up running down to grab it . The price changed considerably and he added all the new replacement sheet metal toe board .floor, and rockers , A nice 3 oot column . It has good original cab corners ,the dash /radio is intact , good drip rails and the cowl is solid and a clean Tn title / vin plates . Paid $200.00 for all of it !

You going to relist it on the parts forum for $500?

Even has an uncut dash. Nice save. That little cigarette lighter cleaned up will get almost half your investment back!

Re: the deals are still out there 67 failed cab project saved

Pulled the glass and removed all the caulking, pressure washed a few times it's cleaned from top to bottom , It even has the key in the ignition !, I'm actually amazed at how solid it really is , No cowl/windshield upper or lower rust ,inner and outer heater boxes in great shape ,67 only seat belt buckles all the cab supports are great ,original cab corners , needs rockers and some kick panel repairs , Learned a new use for my glass tool it removed all the caulking even the drip rail in less than an hour !

i think a lot of people dont really need the money and are just happy knowing that something is going to become of it and not just be stripped for a few parts and scrapped.

No actually what happens is a lot of guys think their skills are enough to carry a full blown restoration they buy a c-20 long bed because they are less expensive when they really wanted a c-10 short bed .Then they find out that parts aren't cheap and true restoration shops are few and far between let alone expensive .there are no $2,000.00 paint jobs anymore and If you don't already have all the equipment /space/ skills and a considerable amount of spare cash ,You better go find one that's already finished .When you find people that don't need money well they are lying ! .....

Great deal ... I agree there are deals out there to be found but ... when you find them you got to be ready to pull the trigger and buy.
