TX to VA roadtrip

Hey guys been working on old blue for a few years and finally get to drive her to some army training in VA. I always like to make a few backup plans in case of the unexpected. Any good wrecking yards/ members who live along the highway? I'll be going Austin to Memphis, Memphis to fort Bragg, NC and then to fort lee, VA. Trying out a WC T5 and see what mileage I get but bringing the tired and true Saginaw 3speed just in case. I'm looking forward to finally getting on the open road with my 76.

Wait a minute.... You are bringing a spare transmission for the trip? I guess that is being prepared. Good luck on your trip, and thanks for your service.

Re: TX to VA roadtrip

Its a wc t5 from a 93 s10 and I don't want to get delayed. Its a very mixed bag of what people say the t5 behind a 350 can do. But to complete, its a extra tranny and a driveshaft, hahah I don't have extensive time to drive and test it out for a month.

Im about 30 miles off the interstate right out side of Little Rock, AR. Have a trailer and all the help you need all the way to Memphis.
