Truckin' & CCT shooting trucks at C10 Get Together

I posted this on the main forum because I want to make sure that anyone with a truck they'd like to have featured in Truckin' or Custom Classic Trucks knows Bob Ryder from Truckin' and I are rolling in on Friday afternoon to start shooting features, getting event coverage, and binge-eating some of the best Bar-B-Q you'll ever eat.

The photos I included were taken last July while I was at Rene's shooting some truck features that are already in line to get featured in an upcoming issue.

Any questions please feel free to ask,

Thanks,

John

Nice..And where is this John? By the way you missed a fine weekend at the Midwest Trk Nationals this year. The blind man's race they added was a blast.

Re: Truckin' & CCT shooting trucks at C10 Get Together

It's at the C10 King's incredible digs in A****er, CA. on October 2.

I gotta tell you I really hated missing the Midwest All-Truck Nats in KCMO (Riverside actually) I think its one of the best pure truck shows in the country Ever since I went back to freelancing, the events I cover come right out of my pocket. The magazines don't pay nearly as good as they used to, so it's tough getting very far out of California... especially with my lead foot.

I did tell every truck magazine editor on staff that I know about the Nats, and strongly suggested that they check it out.

Re: Truckin' & CCT shooting trucks at C10 Get Together

I guess I should have included Street Trucks in my mention. Custom Classic Trucks has first right of refusal for my photography, but if that happens I've already talked with Travis and I'll submit anything to Street Trucks that CCT can't take.

This is a good thing, I'll make a little more money, and more trucks will get ink.

They could make a few special editions of just 67-72 Chevy trucks with the beautiful trucks that were there last year !

Re: Truckin' & CCT shooting trucks at C10 Get Together

I got to thinking that maybe some folks might have a preference to what magazine their truck appears in. That said if any of you would prefer to be shot for Street Trucks over CCT, or Truckin' let me know and I'll submit it directly to Travis.

I wish I would have thought of that in the first place... I'm painting inside the cab of my '68 GMC, it must be the paint fumes getting to me.

Hey Jim,

Naw, Ruby is staying home this time. Here's a few shots of her from my Petaluma trip to pick up the '73. Also a few shots from when we were hunting for locations during the same trip on my way back to OC.

Traffic in At-water, yeah we'll have to cruise the 67-72s for burgers on Friday night.

John, let me know later in the week your ETA for Friday, I can have a couple of trucks on stand bye if you like, Just remember we're going to have a big day on Saturday, I definitely don't want to burn you and Rob out. By the way we're going to have another special guest, Craig Judd the local pinstriper will be showing some of his work. www.craigjuddpinstriping.com
