72 K5 4x4

Hey guys, working on getting our 72 up and going and we've come across a wiring harness we have no idea what it's for.

The trucks wiring has been pretty much untouched but none of the harness's were hooked up when we purchased it. (motor rebuild)

K5 4x4 350 motor, TH350, NP205 with points (changing to HEI).

We're looking at the diagrams that are online and can't fine it anywhere. Any assistance would be much appreciated! thank you

I've attached pics of the connector ends, where it comes through the firewall, and what it hooks up to under the dash.

looks like the ac harness that should run across the top of the firewall to the passenger side, you have a newer engine,73 or newer with the alternator on the passenger side, for your truck it should be on the driver side, the ac pump would mount on the passenger side...

Ahh forgot to mention it's not an AC truck. Would the wires have been there even without being ac?

the wire in your left hand looks like it would go to your temp sending unit on the engine
